DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
1. Our commitment
Anime Wall displays fan-art and wallpaper images sourced from third-party image hosts. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. We respond to clear, well-founded notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with this policy and applicable law, including the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) where applicable.
2. How to file a takedown notice
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on a copyright owner's behalf, and believe that content available through Anime Wall infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated contact at mjandroiddev@gmail.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice."
3. What a valid notice must contain
To be actionable, your notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notice).
- Identification of the infringing material — the specific wallpaper(s), including enough detail (e.g. in-app screen, filename, category, or direct image URL) for us to locate it within the App.
- Your contact information — name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can get back to you.
- A statement of good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
4. Our response process
We aim to review and act on valid, complete notices within 72 hours of receipt. If the notice is valid, the identified wallpaper(s) will be removed or disabled from the App and from our content delivery pipeline. We may contact you for clarification if any required element is unclear or missing, which may extend the timeline.
5. Counter-notice process
If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to mjandroiddev@gmail.com with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice" containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location in the App before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district (or, if outside the relevant jurisdiction, an appropriate alternative), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will evaluate it in good faith and may restore the content if appropriate, consistent with applicable law.
6. Repeat infringers
Content flagged and confirmed as infringing through this process is removed promptly. We take copyright seriously and treat repeated, substantiated infringement reports about the same source or uploader as grounds to remove that content from our catalog going forward.
