Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Anime Wall (package
com.mjandroiddev.animewallpaper), developed by
MJ Android Dev ("we," "our," or "us"), handles information
when you use the app. Anime Wall has no user accounts and no
login — you can browse and use every feature without creating a
profile or handing over your name, email, or phone number.
2. What we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run the app, serve ads, and keep it stable:
- Device or other IDs — your advertising ID and an app instance ID. These are collected and shared with the third-party services below.
That's it. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos (other than the wallpaper you choose to save, which stays on your device), or any other personal identifier.
2.1 Why we collect device/advertising IDs
- Advertising or marketing — Google AdMob uses the advertising ID to serve and measure ads (for users who haven't purchased Remove Ads Premium).
- Analytics — Firebase Analytics uses the app instance ID to understand feature usage in aggregate, so we can improve the app.
- App functionality — Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) uses a device token to deliver push notifications about new wallpaper packs; Firebase Crashlytics uses device/app identifiers to report crashes so we can fix bugs.
3. What we don't collect
- No account creation, no login, no password.
- No name, email address, or phone number collected by the app itself.
- No precise or coarse location.
- No contacts, calendar, or SMS access.
- No payment card details — in-app purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing; we never see or store your payment information.
4. Third-party services and sharing
Anime Wall uses the following third-party SDKs, each of which may process device/advertising IDs under its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob — ad serving and measurement.
- Firebase Analytics — aggregate usage analytics.
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash and stability reporting.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery.
- Google Play Billing — processes the Remove Ads Premium purchase; payment details are handled by Google, not by us.
- Cloudflare — content delivery network that serves the wallpaper catalog and images. Cloudflare sees standard network-level request data (e.g. IP address) as part of delivering content, as any CDN does.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share any data beyond what's listed above.
5. Local storage — favorites & downloads
Your favorites are stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to us or to any third party. The same applies to wallpapers you save to your gallery and your app preferences (theme, Auto Wallpaper schedule, etc.) — all of this lives in the app's local storage/database on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.
6. Notifications
Anime Wall can send push notifications about new wallpaper collections. It may also send optional "Deals & recommendations" notifications (sponsored offers) — these can be turned off independently in Settings → Notifications inside the app. You can also disable all notifications at any time from your device's Android system settings.
To deliver notifications we store one record per device on our server (Cloudflare Workers KV) containing: the push token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging, a two-letter country code (from your SIM and/or the region your request came from, used only to show offers relevant to your region), which notification topics you are subscribed to, and the dates any promotional notifications were sent (used to cap them at two per week). This record contains no name, email address, phone number, or account, and is not sold or shared.
Retention: this record is automatically deleted 90 days after the app last contacted our server. Uninstalling the app therefore removes it within 90 days without you doing anything. See section 8 for immediate deletion.
7. Data security
All network traffic between the app and our backend/CDN is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. While we take reasonable steps to protect data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your choices
- Reset or opt out of ad personalization: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads.
- Turn off notifications: in-app under Settings → Notifications, or system-wide in Android Settings → Apps → Anime Wall → Notifications.
- Delete local data: clear the app's storage or uninstall Anime Wall from your device — this removes favorites, cached wallpapers, and preferences. These never leave your device, so nothing needs to be deleted from a server.
- Automatic deletion (no action needed): if you have notifications enabled, the only data we hold about your device is the push record described in section 6 (push token, country code, notification topics, and the dates promotional notifications were sent). That record is automatically deleted after 90 days without the app being opened — so uninstalling the app is enough, and everything we hold about your device expires on its own within 90 days.
- Request immediate deletion: if you would rather not wait, email mjandroiddev@gmail.com and we will delete the record straight away.
9. Children's privacy
Anime Wall is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will address it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
